El Patio Andaluz · Jesús Cortés is run by Sevillian dancer Jesús Cortés, three-time winner of the National Dance Award, at the El Patio Andaluz venue in the Eixample, which has hosted flamenco audiences since 1964. It teaches flamenco dance classes in Barcelona designed for those starting with no previous experience, 'from scratch'.
Classes are at beginners and advanced level, Monday to Saturday from 10:00 to 18:00, taught in Spanish, English, Italian and French. Soleá, tangos, bulerías, rumbas and sevillanas are taught, as well as zapateado, with classes designed for those starting flamenco dance with no previous experience.
